My story...

its been a while.

Wow. The world of Live Journal still lives on. I havn't posted on here or even logged into this place in what feels like ages. Its pretty crazy. Lets see, whats new? I work at Longhorn Steakhouse now. I am a server, and I like the job. Its got good people, good money, and overall good times. I am marching another summer with the Vanguard Cadets this summer. I am one of 2 drum majors. Yea, I never thought I would actually become a drum major. Especially a drum major for a drum corp. I am very excited about it though, I really think its going to be a fantastic summer. What else.... I am marching with an indoor drumline called Frequency Percussion. Its been fun, though I will be headed to Pariah for next years winter drumline experiences. Thats the plan for right now anyway. Who knows what will change between now and then, you know how I am. I am teaching at West Forsyth right now. Nothing too big and extravagant in the teaching life. I am not with Duluth anymore, and miss it. Those people out there, though they are crazy, are really good people. Have had some relationships with friends and such discontinue, which I hate to have happen. But it does happen. There really isnt much you can do in some situations, but then again maybe its a good thing in some of them? I do have one friend I regret losing. She was a great friend to me, and one I wish I was still in touch with. I assume shes doing ok, going to school and such. She goes to North Georgia, and if things are how they were, she likes it up there. I know shes dating this new guy, who I knew really well, and he is a GREAT guy. So I do hope that relationship works out for those 2. But yea, life is pretty smooth right now. Im single, and I can tell you that I absolutely can not stand this whole..... "looking" thing. The whole, oh that girls cute but shes got a weird persnality... and hey that girls cute and nice and sweet.. but shes 26 and im 19.... yea that girl shes too crazy for me. Yea, the whole process is ridiculous. I just want one girl. One girl that I can hold and care about. One girl that will make me txt her when I get home to tell her im alive and safe, one girl that doesnt mind giving me a kiss infront of people, and one that actually likes the fact that I ask her to txt me when she gets home so I know shes safe. Maybe that sounds girly or weird, but I am sorry that I care about "this girl". Idk, but thats life today. I dont even know if anyone still uses live journal. But here I am, posting on it yet again.

Ok, so that Cadets rack spot was filled right before I got in touch with Neil. Bumber. But its all good. The guy who wrote our pit music at Odyssey this year, is pit caption head out at SCV now and got in touch with me about marching SCV cadets. Its basically the feeder corp to SCV. SO thats actually where I am headed this summer. Good stuff! I will post a schedule up here soon!!!

So this morning, I got an e-mail. From the Cadets front ensemble caption head. It said as follows:

We have a spot in the front ensemble available that we would like for you to fill for the coming 2007 sumemr tour. WOuld you be interested in filling that spot? Lemme know soon! Thanks!

Ok... so I basically was like... whats the word....freakinout! Yes, thats one word, get over it. But seriously!!!! ME in the CADETS front ensemble? SERIOUSLY?!?!?! I need ya'lls opinions. Should I do it? Lemme know.

I havnt updated in a fair bit of time so I figured I needed to do so. Life is going well. Duluth drumline stuff is kicking up so hu-rah for that. I am starting to become more and more busy as the summer approaches. I am planning more and more things I will do, events to go to, trips to make... the usual shin digs that all those cool people do all the time that I have neevr done before. Fun will be had... yes! Maybe I could make a week to drive down to florida and live in my grandmothers condo for a week. Invite megan and other friends and just have fun. I havnt been to the beach in so long, I think I would enjoy that! Though since megan is my grilfriend im pretty sure the parentals would be against that. Though in my defense, if were going down there with other people... why the hell would we be dumb enough to "do anything bad" when people are a matter of feet away from us to hear everything? Yea, no thanks. So maybe it will work? Who knows.... Aight, I think thats all. Monday is the first of two rising freshmen drum clincs at duluth. We will have fun, learn some awesome beats, and hopeful find a drum prodigy to help keep this awesome line growing... who knows. Love you all! Peace!

So the season is over. It was fun. It was hell. I hate my section. I love them all. I hate the staff. I learned so much from them. The staff is incredible. Thats my recap of the year.

So we finished 10th at World Championships. It was fun, though im pretty sure we felt like we deserved a bit higher score ad placement. Its cool though. The cymbal line gt hyped like CRAZY. In fact, we were voted as one fo the top 3 cymbal lines in WGI this year. Eat it... haha. So yea... thats all. Love you all, be safe. Peace!

Man, this chick is pissing me off.... wow. Its so funny, because she loves to tell me how much of a flert I am, while she turns around and flerts her ass off with other guys yet she has a new boyfriend. Interesting. I know, it shouldn bother me... but this is my journal and this is a rant post. I warned you... says so above. Yea, she pisses me off. But I will continue to hold my tongue. Its all good I suppose :)

So.... Ohio regional. It was fun. Included a Blizzard and everything man! Which brings up a story. So we ae loading the trailer outside the school we stayed at and rehered at, and its snowing pretty hard. Its cold, were loading, and the cymbal line decides to take their shirts off for a picture in the snow. Ok, I can do that. SO we do it, pictures were taken. Peachy right? Yea well our stupidity doesnt end there..... thats right. We go out later that evening with less people around, and run around outside in the snow with simply boxers on. I know. Stupid right? Well we didnt even stop there... even less clothing and longer running around time equals brandon never being so cold in his life but made for some really funny times. Butt naked inthe snow in Dayton Ohio... does it get better?

We did ok. Got a 81.3 after prelims. 83.1 after finals. Good jump so were happy. And life trucks along... anther day goes by.

SO yea, I may lose my job teaching the drumline at duluth. Some people there want me gone, and apparently they have heard rumors about me dating students. SO they used these things to go to school administration and other authorities to get me gone. This sucks though. All I wanted to do was help them become a better drumline. Better people. Better individuals. But I guess thats what I get for trying to help. I even got a myspace message from one of them today, cussing me out saying that I need to "calm the fuck down". Interesting... right? I dont know. Maybe I was wrong to try to teach a high school line at a young age. Maybe...

I dont know. I mean its good and all, but there just seems to be this constant problem. This small issue. Like I am sittig at the park drumming or something, but then entire time I can hear a car alarm goign off and it wont stop. Im in complete happyness, except for that freakin car alarm. Its a metaphor, its the best i got... give me a break!!!

Damian: Dang dude... 13 years and still walking. Its been an amazing ride, one i would wanna spend with anyone else... you really are a brother to me. Between drumline and everything else we stood strong... few bumps but hey, we took them and ran with it. Thanks for a GREAT 13 years and i hope they continue.

Nina: Dang... after everything weve been through you'd think id have some great things to say. You are incredible, your one f the greatest friends ive ever had and maybe ever will have. Im honestly a lucky guy to be able to say that i know you and onsider you a friend. Even though we burn each other alot, our love stays strong... lvoe yah girl... you really are a great friend.

Chris Shutter: You have taght me more than i thought was possible. Your a great guy and honestly someone im very prowd to say I know. Not only are we friends, but we stand as a team. We may not be perfect, but we do things based on whats right... not what we wanna do. That says alot man... you really do inspire me. I love you like a brother... and i will keep that forever.

Chase: O man, being my brother is something you've been for ages now. I dont knwo if ive ever looked at you any way short of being my brother. You are honestly one of the greatest guys i know... you honestly dont even understand how much i envy you man. You are the man, like no one else.

Drumline: I love you all, your my brothers and sisters and have influenced my life in ways you cant even imagine... i love you all and will visit often after i leave. God im gunna miss yall...

Liz: Girl you are honestly so great to me... i didnt always treat you the ebst but you stood around and waited for me to get smart... and tho it took me some time i usually did. Your incredible... stay that way for ever and you'll change alot of lives.

Brittany: Yea, weve been through a hell of alot fo stuff aint that right? Id say alot of good, a bit of bad. But hey, its all about the bumps in the road right? I appolagize for the wa i was... obviously wasnt doing it right and for that i hope you can forgive me. IM glad you have found what you were looking for and i hope your life is filled with your dreams coming true. Make sure you tryout for Odyssey next year, you would have a blast doing it. I hope your life takes you places... because you deserve it.

To everyone: You have changed my life in some way... maybe you dont know it maybe you do. Either way i owe everyone a very large thank you.
